When developing lexiCan one major considerations was to establish a software package that could be easily handled by the customer. With this clearly formulated idea our software has been conceptualised in a way that it is possible to organise vast amounts of information into personalised information. The choice of the name lexiCan was to underline the connection with the traditional encyclopaedia where with just a keyword it is possible to establish specifications with texts in different formats, images, charts, files and links to other terms.
